Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola
Ink and watercolor on paper
[Lucia speaking]
All of these drawings are from an ongoing series called Chorus of Bones and Vestiges. And they're kind of biomorphic forms of both, you know, the human body nature, kind of drifts, symbols, things like that. And in my work, I'm very excited to show drawings because usually my work that I show is more, like, installations or performances, but drawing is a crucial part to my practice because it's very performative as well. I usually draw outdoors. You know, I bring a couple of things, and I do my, my, my drawings outdoors. And they're kind of like a diary of symbols for me that I feel they're very connected to the installations that I do, you know, the form and the subjects.
