and Maricha, the golden deer from the Ramayana. It depicts a deer being chased
by dogs. The scene is both beautiful and unsettling, as the grace and elegance
of the deer is contrasted with the violence and aggression of the pursuing
dogs. This painting is a metaphor for the inner conflict that arises during
periods of self-reflection. It speaks to the struggle between our desire for
growth and change, and the fear and resistance that often accompanies such transformation.
The painting challenges the viewer to confront their own inner demons and to
persevere in the face of adversity.
